What do we do:
Westwoods Disaster Relief Team (DiRT) exists to provide resources before, during and after a disaster. One of DiRT’s focuses is disaster preparedness. To prepare the team and local community, DiRT holds several training sessions and preparedness events throughout the year. During a disaster, DiRT can provide emergency communications, and trained technical labor for emergency needs. After a disaster, DiRT provides recovery services that include, food service, chainsaw work, mud out and ash out services.
Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th, Thanksgiving Deployment– Our DiRT team is planning a special deployment since many people have time off from work. So, instead of going shopping, come help out with flood relief! Contact Shantelle at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up or to get more information!
We have monthly meetings on the first Friday of every Month 6:30 pm at WCC. We also have ongoing deployments and training events.
The only requirement for being a member is a heart to serve and a good attitude, God will take care of the rest.
